SHEET C-04 · VS CENTRIQ

Blueprint vs Centriq

The beloved 'snap the nameplate, get the manual' home app. It shut down on January 31, 2026, and the app is gone from the App Store.

Centriq is gone: it shut down on January 31, 2026, the app was pulled from the App Store, and its domain no longer belongs to the company. If you kept your home's appliances and maintenance in it, you need a new home for those records. Blueprint is not a drop-in clone, and this page is honest about what carries over and what does not. Competitor pricing and features were checked as of August 2026 and can change, so confirm the current details on their site before deciding.

What happened to Centriq?

Centriq shut down on January 31, 2026. Centriq shut down on January 31, 2026 after a retirement notice in late 2025. The app was removed from the App Store, mycentriq.com is now a parked domain, and any data not exported before the deadline was deleted. The export was CSV only, covering item names, model and serial numbers, purchase dates, locations, and notes; photos, receipts, and documents were never included and are gone unless you saved them individually. If you still have your CSV, keep it: it is the fastest way to rebuild your records anywhere else.

  • Matching filters and replacement parts to your exact appliance.

Bottom line

Blueprint will not pretend to be a drop-in Centriq: the nameplate scan, automatic manuals, and parts matching were genuinely excellent and Blueprint does not have them yet. What it offers is a supported home for your appliances, maintenance, and projects, with AI planning and reminders Centriq never had, on web and iOS from $4.17/mo.

GENERAL NOTES

Blueprint vs Centriq FAQ

What happened to Centriq?

Centriq posted a retirement notice in late 2025 and shut down on January 31, 2026. The app was pulled from the App Store, the domain is now parked, and the company never publicly explained why. Any account data not exported before the deadline was deleted.

Did Centriq shut down in 2025 or 2026?

January 31, 2026. A widely copied blog post typo'd the year as 2025 and AI-written listicles spread it, but the Internet Archive shows mycentriq.com fully live in late November 2025, months after the supposed 2025 shutdown.

Can I import my Centriq CSV into Blueprint?

Not with one click today. In Blueprint you re-add your appliances using the model and serial numbers from your CSV, attach photos and documents, and set up recurring maintenance with reminders. If a one-click importer is the deciding factor, Homer and Dib both built one.

What is the best Centriq replacement?

It depends on what you used Centriq for. If it was mainly the nameplate scan and automatic manuals, Homer is closer to that experience. If you want appliances, maintenance schedules, and home projects managed together, Blueprint adds AI project plans, push reminders with completion history, and contractor quote tracking that Centriq never had, at $7.99/mo or $49.99/yr.

Does Blueprint scan appliance nameplates like Centriq did?

Not yet, and we will not claim otherwise. Today you enter model and serial numbers yourself and attach photos and documents to each appliance. What Blueprint adds instead is everything around the records: maintenance reminders, AI project planning, and quote tracking.
